To ensure consistent progress and mastery of the material, students undergo regular evaluations throughout the program:

      • Progress Tests: A comprehensive assessment is conducted every 3 units. These tests evaluate student proficiency in reading comprehension, vocabulary, punctuation, spelling, grammar, and writing.
      • Weekly Quizzes: Every class begins with a 15-minute quiz to review previous concepts and ensure students are prepared for the day’s lesson.
      • Final Examination: A final exam is administered during the last lesson of each course. This 45-minute assessment is followed immediately by a detailed paper review and a general course summary on the same day.

AEI Primary: Course Content

Each instructional unit in the Primary program is strategically structured around six core learning components. This multi-dimensional approach ensures that students develop a balanced and robust foundation in the English language.

Skill

Description

Reading Comprehension

Students practice interpreting short narratives and visual information (images). This module focuses on developing fundamental decoding skills and the ability to extract meaning from various media.

Vocabulary

Every unit introduces a curated selection of key academic and thematic words. Students learn not only the definitions but also how to use these words correctly in context.

Punctuation

Students are taught the rules of standard English punctuation. These lessons are immediately applied through practical writing exercises to ensure mastery.

Spelling

This component provides targeted instruction and practice for the more challenging words encountered in each unit, helping students build spelling accuracy and phonetic awareness.

Grammar

Lessons focus on the essential rules of English grammar required for clear and effective communication. The curriculum emphasizes grammar that is directly applicable to a student’s writing.

Writing

In the final stage of each unit, students apply their newly acquired skills to guided writing tasks. This helps transition them from understanding rules to producing original, well-structured content.

Each unit/course has homework assignments, including extended exercises or writing in the workbook, which can usually be completed in about 30 minutes.
