AEI Primary is a comprehensive English language learning program designed for junior students. AEI Primary is suitable for younger learners before moving on to our more academic program Common Core (CC), which typically starts in Year 3 for international students. AEI Primary is designed to help students improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, punctuation, spelling, grammar and writing, and is based on research-based best practice in English language teaching.
AEI Primary provides lively and interesting interactive content to keep students motivated and interested in learning English. To meet the needs of different students, a variety of resources and materials are provided to support different learning styles.
AEI PRIMARY Course Overview
AEI Primary has 3 levels: AEI Primary 1, AEI Primary 2 and AEI Primary 3. Each level contains 15-17 units, and each unit takes 1.5-2.0 hours to complete.
course | grade | unit | Number of class hours (hours)/unit |
---|---|---|---|
AEI Primary 1 | G1-G2 | 15 | 1.5-2 |
AEI Primary 2 | G2-G3 | 15 | 1.5-2 |
AEI Primary 3 | G3 | 15 | 1.5-2 |
There is a test every 3 units on comprehension, vocabulary, punctuation, spelling, grammar and writing. There will be a quiz before each class, which usually takes 15 minutes to complete.
There will be a final exam at the last lesson of each course. It takes about 45 minutes to complete the test. A review of the final exam paper and a general review of the course will be conducted on the same day.
AEI Primary is the basic course connecting to the CC series courses.
