The paper version of the SAT takes 3 hours, but the new digital SAT is only 2 hours and 14 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">International students took the digital SAT for the first time on March 11, 2023. All U.S. and international students will take the digital SAT in March 2024.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The test score is still 800 points for each section (reading and writing, mathematics), and the total score is still 1600 points. 1500 points is usually the highest 1% score.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The digital SAT still needs to be taken at school or at a designated testing location. Students need to bring their own device (laptop or other device) to the exam center. If a student does not have a suitable device, arrangements can be made to borrow it through CollegeBoard.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">There are no changes to support measures for students. Students who need extra time can still complete the exam on a digital platform.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The Reading and Writing and Language sections of the paper-based test are now combined into a single section called &quot;Reading and Writing.&quot; This part consists of two modules.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The math section has its own section and also has two modules. Math questions are still arranged in order of difficulty, just like the original paper exam.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">A calculator is available at any time during the math section. The digital platform provides a built-in Desmos calculator that students can use. Additionally, students can bring their own calculator (it is still highly recommended)!<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Digital exams are adaptive.
