Focusing on the development of the whole child, the PYP prepares students to be active, caring, lifelong learners who demonstrate respect for themselves and others.<br><br>\nAt the heart of the curriculum are the <strong>IB Learner Profiles<\/strong>, which guide students toward becoming internationally-minded citizens. Unlike traditional teacher-led instruction, the PYP encourages inquiry-based learning through engaging activities and collaborative projects, building a solid foundation for the <strong>IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).<\/strong><br><br \/>\n<strong>The Transdisciplinary Framework  <\/strong><br><br>\nThe PYP curriculum integrates six key subject areas: <strong>Language, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, The Arts, and Personal, Social, and Physical Education. <\/strong>\nWhat sets the PYP apart from traditional curricula is its<strong>Transdisciplinary Themes.<\/strong><br>Rather than learning subjects in isolation, students explore these six \"Units of Inquiry\" (UOI) to understand how different disciplines connect to the real world:<br><br \/>\n1.\t<strong>Who We Are: <\/strong>Exploring the nature of the self, beliefs, values, and human relationships.<br \/>\n2.\t<strong>Where We Are in Place and Time: <\/strong>Investigating personal histories, geography, and the interconnectedness of individuals and civilizations.<br \/>\n3.\t<strong>How We Express Ourselves: <\/strong>Discovering the ways we reflect on and express feelings, ideas, and creativity.<br \/>\n4.\t<strong>How the World Works: <\/strong> Understanding the physical world, the impact of scientific advances, and the laws of nature.<br \/>\n5.\t<strong>How We Organize Ourselves: <\/strong> Examining the interconnectedness of human-made systems, communities, and organizations.<br \/>\n6.\t<strong>Sharing the Planet: <\/strong>Analyzing our rights and responsibilities in the struggle to share finite resources with other people and living things.<\/p>\n<h3>AEI\u2019s Primary Years Support<\/h3>\n<p>We offer specialized small-group and one-on-one sessions for students from <strong>Taipei American School (TAS), Taipei European School (TES), Kuei Shan School, Kang Chiao International School, Xiamen International School (XIS) <\/strong>, and other premier international institutions.\nOur faculty consists of<strong> IB-certified instructors <\/strong>with extensive experience in international school settings.
