AEI offers a specialized sequence of literature and composition courses beginning in Lower School that extends into Middle School and Upper School. These courses are designed to immerse students in diverse literary styles and genres, building the sophisticated critical reading and writing skills necessary for success in elite international high schools.<\/span><\/p>

In these courses, students analyze classic and contemporary works of fiction, poetry, and drama. They move beyond basic comprehension to master literary elements such as characterization, complex plotting, thematic development, and symbolism, while learning to formulate their own unique scholarly interpretations.
