High school science is divided into two levels: ordinary level and honors level. Most high schools teach biology in 9th grade, chemistry in 10th grade, and physics in 11th grade. However, this is not a requirement and there are many schools that teach these subjects in a different order. For example, Taipei American School (TAS) teaches physics in 9th grade, chemistry in 10th grade, and biology in 11th grade.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Honors courses are more rigorous and are a great bridge for students who wish to take AP Biology, AP Chemistry, or AP Physics.
