Junior High School Homeschooling Curriculum:
Our junior high homeschool curriculum typically covers 5 to 6 subjects per year. Students in Year 6 typically study English, Earth Science, Mathematics, Geography, Spanish/English as a Second Language (EAL), and an elective Literature course. Seventh-grade students continue their studies in English or Literature, and Spanish/English as a Second Language, and will study U.S. History, Preliminary Algebra, and Life Sciences. Eighth grade students will study Algebra 1, physical science and world history.
Through an initial understanding of United States and world history, students will be prepared for high school history courses. Depending on a student's progress, they may begin geometry as early as eighth grade.
