Study and Practice of Harvard’s “Happiness Thinking”

There is a "happiness course" at Harvard University. Professor Tal Ben-Shahar put forward the idea that "happiness depends on one's conscious way of thinking" in this course, which is popular all over the world, and summarized it. Twelve practices:

1. Ask yourself questions repeatedly. Self-argument will open the way to self-exploration, and in the process the things worthy of our faith will gradually become clear.

2. Believe in yourself! Whenever you face a problem or challenge, use visual imagination to tell yourself that you can do it, and actually solve it. Don’t forget to trust others too!

3. Accept your own failures, otherwise you will never grow.

4. Accept that you are not perfect. Life is like an upward curve, it doesn't just go up.

5. Facing our various emotions, positive or negative, positive and negative are all part of us.

6. Document your life, it will pay off!

7. Think positively about all the problems you face and learn to be grateful. Gratitude can bring people the purest happiness.

8. Simplify your life. Master the principle of valuing essence rather than valuing too much. Learn to say "no" to things you don't need.

9. Intimacy is the first element of happiness and the original need of human beings. Make sure you put in the effort for a happy and long-lasting relationship.

10. Exercise enough and get enough rest!

11. Recognize the three investment levels of work, career and mission, and find your own mission.

12. Only when you are happy can you make others happy too - the best example for educating your children is to be an honest parent.

Education can make you live a happy life, and happiness depends on conscious thinking!
