In recent years, students have embraced increasingly flexible and diverse ways of learning, and AEI has been at the forefront of helping them design personalized learning journeys.
Our self-directed learners include talented young artists, athletes, and even students whose academic abilities far exceed those of their peers. Traditional, standardized courses are often insufficient to meet their strong passion for learning. That is why, before beginning a self-directed program at AEI, we conduct a thorough evaluation to ensure that each student meets our standards for independent study.
AEI’s self-directed learning program strictly follows the process for non-school experimental education as outlined by the Ministry of Education. This includes developing a comprehensive curriculum plan, aligning with the compulsory core courses for each grade level, and providing instruction from AEI’s professional teaching team. Students take regular assessments and submit progress reports, which are reviewed and reported to the Ministry to ensure that they are meeting the required academic goals and credits for the year.
When it comes time to apply for college, these academic records are converted into a GPA—the key metric for admissions. To further showcase our students’ academic excellence, AEI also offers a full range of standardized test preparation courses, including SAT, AP, and TOEFL. These programs are designed to complement each student’s unique strengths, enhance their global competitiveness, and open doors to a future filled with possibilities.
