PSAT Jr English Core Course
PSAT is a preparatory test for SAT, vocabulary/grammar/reading/writing - a comprehensive unit academic course to help children build a solid academic foundation step by step!

The course focuses on academic vocabulary, grammar, critical reading, academic writing training, etc.

Writing with Power
In this comprehensive writing course, students will embark on a journey to strengthen their writing skills in a variety of genres and formats. From mastering the nuances of phrases and verbs to understanding the intricacies of clause and sentence structure, students will develop a solid foundation in grammar and syntax. In addition, they will delve into the art of creative and descriptive writing, learning how to create vivid narratives and evoke sensory experiences through prose. Students will explore the principles of expository writing and persuasive techniques, honing their ability to communicate effectively and persuasively. The ability to debate. Overall, students in this program will become confident and versatile writers with the skills to excel in a variety of writing tasks and contexts, including academic, professional, and creative endeavors.

English Literature:
The purpose of this course series is to introduce young students to reading analysis as early as possible. In this course series, students will complete readings, essay writing, and discussions to expand their understanding of British literature. Class time is allocated primarily to class discussion, book analysis, writing, and completing the workbook that accompanies the novel.

Grammar for Writing:
In this grammar-focused writing course, students will master basic language elements and editing techniques to improve their writing. Starting with the importance of structure and parts of speech, they will further explore paragraph types, verbs, and subjects. The course will delve into organizing ideas effectively, identifying and correcting sentence errors, and understanding plagiarism to maintain academic integrity. In addition, students will learn how to diversify sentence structures and enhance descriptive writing through character development. Throughout the course, they will practice sentence combination to achieve fluency and coherence. Through instruction, practice, and feedback, students will master grammar, editing skills, and the ability to produce beautiful written work in a variety of situations.

Algebra 1:
The Algebra 1 prerequisite course is designed to familiarize students with some of the important concepts typically introduced in the first semester of G8 Mathematics. An overview of these concepts will be presented, along with numerous exercises and an assessment at the end of the week. Emphasis will be on skill practice and analytical word problems.
