Teacher Rick studied Logic and Computation at Carnegie-Mellon and before pursing his PhD in Industrial Engineering. In math classrooms, Teacher Rick first presents tried-and-true problem-solving strategies and then encourages students to write down their own thoughts and to justify their calculations, and this philosophy extends to his English and writing classes as well. Teacher Rick is also a professional reviewer for academic papers, and can precisely pinpoint students’ weaknesses in academic compositions. He is passionate about making the materials accessible to students; with over 8 years of experience in teaching English, Teacher Rick is comfortable teaching small or large classes.
