Introduction
Teacher Matt is one of AEI’s most desired math tutors for TAS students and is our primary instructor for AP Calculus, AP Precalculus, and IB Math. He notably scored full marks on his SAT Math and SAT II Math tests, as well as a 5 on the AP Calculus AB and BC tests. Teacher Matt is passionate about making math accessible to students and challenging mathematically gifted students to achieve higher. His style of teaching is inductive, interactive, and demanding. Teacher Matt is also passionate about languages and has lived in six countries. He studied simultaneous interpreting prior to working at AEI and speaks four languages. He understands the difficulty students face when learning a foreign language, and he is good at making academic content relatable to students. One of his speciality subjects is preparing students for the ISEE exam; in the last two years, he has helped over 80% of his ISEE students gain successful admission into the Taipei American School (TAS).
